Our Staff
Louis Ferrigno PT graduated summa cum laude from Quinnipiac College and has been a licensed, practicing physical therapist for 26 years. He received clinical training in acute joint replacement at the Hospital of Saint Raphael and neurological rehabilitation at Newport Hospital. Louis established Therapy Works in 1992 with co-owner Robert Hewitt, PT and has since been successfully treating the shoreline communities for over twenty years.
Louis has twenty-five years of experience with joint replacement, soft tissue and neurological rehabilitation for people of all ages. He has extensive knowledge of geriatric musculoskeletal conditions and work- related injuries.
Professionally, he plans to continue educational courses involving rehabilitation of post- surgical orthopedics and various soft tissue conditions of the foot, pelvic and lumbar region.
Lou lives in Branford and enjoys spending time with family and friends. Activities include weight training, hiking and tennis.
Robert Hewitt, PT - Robert is co-owner of Therapy Works and has been a licensed, practicing physical therapist for over 27 years. A Quinnipiac College graduate, Robert established Therapy Works with Louis Ferrigno, PT in 1992 and has since been successfully treating the East Haven-Branford communities.

Robert lives in North Haven with his wife Pamela and two children. He enjoys playing golf, hockey and recently completed a Warrior Dash. Robert is an avid New York Yankee and Green Bay Packer fan.
Carla Federation
Carla is a Certified Personal Trainer, Therapeutic Ball and Pilates Specialist. She has been instructing patients at Therapy Works since 2005.
Patti Russo
Patti recently joined Therapy Works after twenty years working for an Internal Medicine group and the Yale Medical School. She is a certified in medical billing, coding and patient care coordination.
